Natural Kitchen – Chancery Lane, London

Since opening in 2009 in Marylebone, they have grown to be able to open up eight restaurants in total. All their ingredients are from sustainable & ethical sources (which I LOVE). They a say on their website that they always select the freshest, best quality ingredients to go into their menus and they onlyΒ use suppliers who share their philosophy about quality, provenance, traceability and the impact on ourΒ environment.

It is a treat for a work lunch out because it isn’t the cheapest meal for a weekday lunch time (I am not about spending much on a work lunch), but they do make some great juices, coffees and salads here and you really are paying for the quality of the produce.

It is also a great vibe so it is a fab place to have a good old catch up with a colleague or friends as a midday break away from the office, computer screen and desk chairs.

I absolutely adore their salads and I usually get either the tuna or hallumi salads but they do have a bigger menu with hot foods as well.

If you work in the area and want something wholesome and healthy – this is a great place to treat yourself.

Fink’s Salt and Sweet – Highbury, London

IMG_3915

I know I have written about Fink’s previously, but I only wrote about brunch there. Plus it is such a gorgeous little independent cafe that does such simple fresh foods and I just love it in the sunny weather as it is on such a pretty little street tucked away from the busy roads. It is also great in the winter if you are looking for a great place for a good slice of cake and a coffee in a cozy, homely vibe.

We recently came on a sunny day and sat outside with our salad and sandwich just taking in the weather and taking our time to enjoy our freshly made food.

If you haven’t been before – then do go.

S&K Salt Beef Bar – Edgware, London

For a good old traditional Jewish deli meal, I would definitely recommend S&K Salt Beef Bar in Edgware, London. Pop in a take away some succulent, moist salt beef, a few crisp latkas, a tub of fresh coleslaw, serve with English mustard and boom there you go for the perfectly traditional Jewish deli lunch. Add some pickled gerkins for an extra touch.
