If you are looking for an Indonesian restaurant in Bali that has high quality service, food and wine with a calming and relaxed but beautiful atmosphere to treat yourself for an evening – then look no further than Bambu on Jl. Petitenget in Seminyak.
Although it is quite a high end restaurant, it is still very authentic. There are gorgeous wood carvings and the set up is similar to that of a Balinese home or villa. The waitresses and waiters wear Balinese style uniforms and the menu is full of very traditional style foods.
We started with some soft shell crab to share which was so crisp on the outside and soft and meaty on the inside. Surrounded by sweet chilli sauce to dip in.
Jack ordered the Tuna Steak for his main and it was cooked perfectly seared on the outside and still very pink on the inside. I ordered the slow cooked duck curry and the sauce was full of punchy flavours and spices. Our food came with rice on the side.
For dessert we shared the pandan pancakes and the fried banana with coconut ice cream. It was all surprisingly light and such a refreshing way to end the meal.
Absolutely gorgeous food, gorgeous wine, gorgeous restaurant and awesome service!
